Love of Pink

This ad is really beautiful but I think it is slightly ruined by the song. A Fine Frenzy's New Heights would have been better :)

Frogs

I found these frogs in my room the other day. I made them when I was 9 and as soon as I got the hang of making them I didn't stop! As you can see, they get smaller and smaller. Naturally being the romantic that I am, I put them in families and the tiny ones were children and so on. You also be wondering why they have creepy faces........so am I.....
I think I will try and conduct a photoshoot with them. I might have to remake them so they less strange faces though :)

Burn it's hot in here, there's too much carbon in the atmosphere!

On Saturday I went to the Walk Against Warming event in Sydney. It was a walk from Martin's Place to the Bontanic Gardens and there were 15,000 people there helping to raise awareness about climate change and tell the Australian government (particularly Kevin Rudd) that we want clean energy and we want a binding treaty to come out of Copenhagen.
The was a walk taking place in every capital city in Australia and I think Melbourne had 50,000 people show up which was fantastic. We all made lots of noise and there were photographers and news crews constantly filming us. Martin's Place was a great starting point but I think it could have been better if we'd finished at the Opera house steps.
The first photo shows blue laces that say "walking for the climate". They make my shoes look great :)

NB: The title of the post was a saying that many people were chanting at the rally. Catchy

Afternoon Tea

The other day I made these delicious cookies from Frankie's Afternoon Tea. They were incredibly easy to make and tasted wonderfully light and crumbly. The cookbook is filled with lots of other sweet treats that I can't wait to try out. I especially love the photography in the book as they use eclectic table cloths and wallpaper that is probably hidden away in my Grannie's closet somewhere. Delightful!
ps: Afternoon tea is available in Borders stores, as is Frankie's latest magazine and their Photo Album

Finders Keepers

The other day I went along to the Finders Keepers Market. It was at Carridgeworks in a lovely airy space next to a farmers market and it wasn't packed with people so I didn't get squished like at other markets. The variety of stalls had very cute items for sale and I especially loved the Frankie stall. It was of course beautiful, like everything they create. I loved the markets' display of artworks as it was a nice chance to see some art without a crowd of shoppers. I particularly liked Marcela Restrepo's sketchy drawings (such as 'Sushi Time'), Akina's 'Pass the Parcel', Zoran Nova's amazing drawings (skull guy with the beard is my favourite) and Zena Santos' colourful and imaginative artworks.
